digital media works website
The web site, including the blog, is one hundred percent valid XHTML and CSS. We have obviously taken the time to ensure that it meets and exceeds all current accessibility standards, which is of extreme importance in any current web document.
Despite the fact that each page uses the same header and footer XHTML, the web site is hand coded using PHP to ensure that each page served up contains only the scripts necessary to display the page the way it was intended to look. All modern browsers include Javascript engines and our site makes use of the technology to achieve a few of the little tricks we felt would be nice touches.
The site implements only CSS for its layout and contains no tables whatsoever. The exception to this would be the helpdesk technology for support tickets. That script makes use of CGI scripting and the output is currently parsed to tables in SHTML templates for outputting to the screen. This is something that we will be looking to remodel in the future as table based designs are very much a thing of the past.
